Dr. Quinney holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work (1989) from California State University, Long Beach, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2008) from Ryokan College. With over 35 years of experience in Mental Health and Substance Use, Dr. Quinney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in West Los Angeles.
His clinical expertise developed in crisis intervention at King Drew Medical Center, extending to diverse areas such as HIV education, pastoral training, and juvenile hall supervision.
Post-retirement from Los Angeles County Mental Health, Dr. Quinney established his private practice in 2005, specializing in assisting single mothers raising at-risk Afro-American and Latino youth. Additionally, he contributed three years to the prison system as an unlicensed Psychologist, focusing on anger management, depression barriers, and suicidal prevention for high-risk populations.
Outside his professional life, Dr. Quinney is an avid fitness enthusiast and accomplished bodybuilder, earning numerous awards.
